CONDITION
 
Binding: Received one cloth bound volume in a yellow paper dust jacket, 26cm x 20cm x 1cm, in good condition.
Paper/media: The dust jacket is folded into five panels: title, author and publisher are printed in black on the spine piece (recto), title, author, publisher within a green border are printed on the cover (recto, and a publisher`s description is printed on the right panel (recto). The paper is of a medium(2) weight, and moderately textured(2)[Print Council of America, 1996].

The paper has darkened, especially along the spine, and the front and back covers (recto). The paper is tattered all along the edges. The folds along the outer panels are weak, and a 15 cm tear runs up the fold along the spine piece. There is a triangular loss 4cm x 4cm at the head of the spine, and a 1cm x 1cm loss at the tail of the spine.
 

TREATMENT
 
Spot tests:
Paper treatments: Surface cleaned with latex sponge. Mended losses, tears, and folds with 1601 hanji toned with water color, and wsp.
